No one told me my foot would grow during pregnancy and likely never return to the size it once was. The growth I experienced during pregnancy in my foot I thought was all related to the sheer water weight, but I was wrong. My sister didn’t mind though since she gained a ton of new shoes. Unfortunately this left me with very few shoes and a desperate need to get more in my closet (I’m a girl after all). This means I was really excited to check out what all Famous Footwear had to offer and hopefully find a pair of shoes for myself.
Let’s be honest though, we moms tend to shop for our kiddos the most often. With a size change recently, I headed straight to the kids section to look for a pair of shoes for my daughter. Fall is around the corner which means lots of playing at the park and I wanted a good pair of tennis shoes. I loved the hot pink and my husband the dark grey, I compromised and he got the shoes he wanted the most.
After finding her a pair of shoes, I decided to browse the women’s shoes since I really do need new shoes. When I spotted these a little part of me kind of wanted to get a pair so our shoes could be alike. However, the truth is I don’t need another pair of athletic shoes. Though these are officially on my wish list.
What I really need and what I’ve got my eye on the most is a new pair of boots for the fall. That is coming soon, right? I spotted these gorgeous Madden Girl boots and I need them for sure. My boots from pre-baby aren’t going to cut it but these sure will. Now…I’m off to convince the hubs I need these before Christmas!
Don’t worry, I didn’t just create wish lists…I found these awesome black boots for only $15 in the clearance section and in my size. That’s too great of a price to not go home with them. I got them in a buy one get one half off deal making them only $7.50 and I had a coupon for being a Famous Footwear rewards member! Yay for a bargain on shoes for both me and my daughter. Sorry hubs, we will get you next time!
I didn’t just shop at the event though! I got to spend a lot of time with friends and was entered for a chance to participate in the 30-second Shoe Crazy. Though I didn’t get to participate in the 30-second Shoe Crazy it was fun to see my friends participate and giving back to charity is always great. They had 30 seconds to grab as many shoes as they could and their total would be donated. Well done Dallas Bloggers!
